Creating the Scrin Annihilator Tripod

All too often, we may take for granted the attention to detail and extremely polished visuals in Real-time-Strategy (RTS) games. We look at the battlefield above from a birds eye view and even when we zoom in, we get so immersed in the world around us and the frantic action and fiery explosions filling our screen, that this immersive visceral experience created by the visuals in the game becomes something we might forget to truly appreciate.

It’s a funny thing when you’re moving around in a RTS game with your mouse or hot keys, trying to complete mission objectives or obliterate your opponent, and suddenly it seems like there is a living and breathing battlefield right in front of you. The funny thing is, you barely have enough time to stop and breathe and look at everything around you!
